Has anyone heard or know of anybody who was rejected following the above status ? They are waiting for mid-year reports. Does it mean that if there was no decrease from the previous grades received that they are more likely to be accepted ?

I am wondering the same thing! if we have further review required and our midyear grades are straight Aâs are we basically in?

Still unsure about my status âReviewed-Decision Pendingâ any one have a clear idea of what this means or when i should find out?

I also have a âFurther Review Requiredâ as of now. Congrats to those already accepted

Does anyone know if they are very strict regarding to the TOEFL . I got 96 but just 18 in the speaking section and they request 90 and 21 in each section.Do I have to retake it???

Patience⊠back in my day it was all by snail mail. Youâd get a first response telling you they received your application, then weeks/months later the actual decision.

As for the TOEFL question, contact the McGill admission people and ask. The important part is really comprehension first, then written expression, and finally oral expression, but you never know. If it says 21 in each section and thereâs a speaking section (also something that wasnât there back in my dayâŠ), I guess it matters too.

thanks for your response but I canât contact McGill admission people. I sent an email last week and I tried to call them many times unsuccessfully.thats why Iâm asking people here. I think I should retake it anyway. I just thought that since speaking wasnât really important to understand the lectures at the university, they could forgive my low speaking score. Am i right??

And also , should I send an email to the department I applied for itself???

hey guys, for all of you that have further review required: my friend called admissions and they told her that they accepted the top 2% of applicants only, and that the majority of those with further review required will hear back within the next couple months. good luck!

Stupid question, but Iâm going to send a mid year report anyway (even though it still says Ready for Review). But yeah, how many stamps do I put on this envelope? From the US

Seventy five cent postage for first class mail from the US to Canada.

My school isnât even going to have the transcript ready to be sent until February 14âŠdo you think this will significantly hurt my chance of admission? I got everything turned in as quickly as possible, itâs just that our semester didnât end until last week. :(

I wouldnât worry about that. Admissions know that mid-year reports availability depends on the school, and they donât reject just because they havenât received those grades yet.

I just faxed yesterday the 2nd quarter term report to the admissions office that I received from the HS. The status on Minerva was updated as received which surprised me. I thought that they had to receive them directly from the school. They should have everything now. I am crossing my fingers.

Ok seeeeeriously⊠Iâve asked a few times but no one has responded =[. Mine still says Ready for Review, meanwhile everyone else has that accepted thing or further review needed. My things were sent in end of October, so its not like I did late. But, I didnât send in my mid year report yet⊠but people are saying its not needed until it says âfurther review neededâ. What to do??

I would go ahead and fax them if you have them.

McGill doesnât accept faxed or scanned transcripts. They need to be sent directly from your school in an envelope. At least thatâs how it works for Canadian students.

tb0mb93

You should probably just send it anyways, chances are theyâll ask for it!

Transcripts can be faxed. Mine were faxed today and my file now says that my midyear grades were received and they can proceed with my application.

My son just got notification he was admitted! US student.
