D is in for MT Voice emphasis!

My D is also in for MT Voice emphasis

I just received an acceptance email for acting!

There is still hope for my son. CCPA just called, needing a transcript before any information can be given.

waitlisted!

Welp it’s a no for me. I was pretty bummed at first, but I keep reminding myself as a transfer that I was competing for very few slots with a very talented group of people. Also I believe fate has a way of working itself out because I would have to have gotten at least a 50% scholarship to consider CCPA, and it might have been even harder for me to get in and then not afford to be able to go. I’m getting practically a full ride at my other school. So that’s awesome. Congrats all around and I hope to see you all in the Chicago theatre scene very soon. :D

So sorry about your disappointment. We have had a few ourselves lately. Don’t give up on your talent!

Anyone getting any financial aid? Very small offer for a very pricey school! I hate to break my son’s heart but there is no way to afford CCPA for us. Does anyone know if they give any academic awards? Is it just talent?

I know a girl who was accepted to Roosevelt (not performing arts) who got a huge academic scholarship, but she is not all that scholarly. Some need yes, but not an extreme case. (average actually) But I am seeing the CCPA kids not getting much, I wonder if there is a different set of standards for aid with the CCPA because they are so competitive?
