Has anyone heard from NYU?

The wait is unbearable...

not yet...

i havent heard a thing. i cant take this waiting process anymore. Ahhhh!!!

They asked for my midterm grades that's all

does anyone think that it's a really bad thing if they haven't asked for midterm grades!????? i'm definitely concerned now...maybe there is no interest. however, my first semester gpa was a 4.0....any thoughts/opinions???

its either hella good or hella bad lol

if you are a freshman i think its better if they ask for mid-term grades.
my first semester gpa was 3.93 and they still asked for my mid-term grades.

I think they ask if its there's a big desparity frm your high school gpa, they want to make sure its not a fluke, but i think ultimately its a good thing b/c they prob. want to admit but are for sure a/b it

well...i had a 3.6 in highschool...??? so it's kind of far from a 4.0, but not really i guess...?? idk :0( i hope it's a really good thing and not a really bad thing!!!!!

i had 94.5/100 from highschool. my school didn't do 4.0 gpa system.

but i hope nascobi's case is really really good case insntead of really really bad case. Also people get e-mails from one of the admissions officers. So it might be that the officer that takes care of your region or group (however they separate it) might have decided that they don't need to see your mid-term.

My college GPA is A LOT better than my high school GPA. If they haven't asked for my midterm grades, does that mean I'm pretty much screwed?

wow i wasnt asked for my midterms..

haha oh oh

mid-term does not matter at all btw don't worry about it.

it doesnt matter(midterms)..but the point is they asked some people and not others.

WHY!?

bumpo

heh

this was answered on the NYU transfer admissions bulletin board regarding mid-year reports, and i already posted it in the nyu stern applicant thread last week.

"When our Committee requests a mid-year grade report it is simply because they are seeking additional academic information on an applicant. This could be for a number of reasons. For instance, if you are in your first year of college your transcript will only reflect one semester of performance. Or, if there has been a dramatic improvement in your academic performance we may be looking to see if you are maintaining success in the classroom. Each mid-term grade report includes direct contact information for a Committee Member in our office so if you have specific questions about your candidacy we encourage you to contact them directly."

so what are they doing when they dong ask a second semester freshman for his midterm grades for the 2nd sem?

I think they are like, hmm hell no! or Hell yes!
And mid-term ppl are in between.

well put ggalage. i agree.

it's also the 3rd week of april guys, so expect someone to get a decision this week :]
