Has anyone heard from NYU?

^ sarcasm?

sarcasm? no...

from the nyu transfer admissions bulletin boards..
"Transfer applicant admissions decisions are released on a rolling basis with internal transfers receiving notification beginning in April. External transfer decisions are usually released starting from about three to four weeks after the April 1st deadline."

no way, i thought it was may 15 for some reason...

does anyone know if they mail to home or college addresses?

yea thats what i dont understand....what if the decision takes a long while to recieve and they send it to your college adress and you have already went home for summer. what happens in that situation????

NYU recommends that you contact them may 1st to see if they have made your decisions.

isn't that for freshmen ggalage? you usually have to send in an enrollment deposit 2 weeks after you get your offer of admission.

they will most likely NOT send it to your college address unless you put that address on your application (which would be pretty stupid).

Maybe i have messed up in reading the NYU admissions bulletin board. But i think i'd still call them just in case. And they do usually decide about may.

may 1 u idiots

you idiots?
please, bignerd, grow up.

and NYU's website says may 15

I have sent my toefl and sat scores to NYU though i just realized that i dont actually need them. Do you think they will still look at them? I'm really worried as these scores are not really good. Although the rest of the application is ok. But my sat and toelf would really damage the thing...

i think, it wasn't a good a idea to do so, did you apply to any other schools?

Yeah, i applied to 8 other schools... But I think I would have some chances to get into NYU cutting out the scores. I'm an international student from Russia, currently studying in an english-speaking school in Moscow. The gpa is 3.8 and the high school record is excellent (top 0.3 of country high school graduates). But since I didn't have much time and resources to prepare for the stupid tests, I did rather bad on them... Well, my toelf is bearable: 263... but sat is horrable... (got a month to prepare for it). They say there is no need to take sat if you did not take it in high school, but for some reason I skipped that on the application when first read it. The same with toefl... I'm so stupid. Now I'm depressed.... :(

As u said your toefl is not bad at all, and i think u do have a great chance, you speak another language that's a plus. good luck

Did anyone hear from NYU yet????
if you do let us know

I found out today. I got in to Stern w00t w00t
They sent the mail to home. It said this year's application pool was the largest 4500+ transfer applicants.

I heard today too! I got into steinhardt for Music Education. Anyone else? Does anyone know what housing is best for transfers?

@ggalage, @sambam: That's awesome! Congratulations! When did you guys submit all your materials? Also, did you guys get notified by mail? (I think that's what you said, but I just wanted to make sure)

I submitted my app pretty close toward the deadline, I called today just to verify everything was there--and the woman first told me that something was missing... I said, no it's not... she said, right, everything is here and complete (yeah, weird). She then said that I should hear something around the beginning of May. I wonder, since my app was submitted so close to the deadline--if that might have delayed anything.

i just got my letter today too, if anyone is expecting one from arts and science.

I sent my app the day before it was due. (wierd how i got letter alrdy)

They sent the mail to home--I go to college in Maine and home is connecticut--Not sure if they will send anything here. Where did you apply leobag btw?

I'm in San Diego, applied to Stern. However, I will admit, while I did submit my app on 3/31... my letters of recommendation didn't make it until 04/10  -- I don't know if that had any [negative] repercussions.
