Requesting Grades

Columbia asked for my first quarter grades last week and I'm just wondering if this means that I'm on the edge, thus they want more information about me? I'd like to know from past applicants who experienced the same requests if they got in and what kind of grades they maintained. I know decisions come out in three days, but these are literally going to be the three longest days of my life...and I'm just going to spend all this time not being able to control speculation over what this means.

Is it possibly because one is on the fence in the eyes of the regional admissions officer when they are looking over the application thus they request grades or would it be with the admissions committee?

I’m watching this thread as well. Counselor told me Columbia called her too. Have no idea what it means.

What do you guys usually get in school? Maybe that’ll give us more room to speculate.

My counselor wouldn’t even tell me if they called. Though, from the way i asked her, and the way that she answered, I’m pretty sure that they did call. Overall, my counselor pulled a complete poker face on me… hmm secretive much?

I have a consistent A-/A average, hope that helps

I consistently get As and I got straight As first quarter so at least it’s not a negative thing for them to ask, but I’d like to know if its positive too.

A/A-.
Got all A’s except an A- first quarter

All 90+ …in other words A/A+ …but I never asked my GC.

works,
what is your first quarter? (is it up to october, up to november, 6 weeks, 9 weeks, etc.)???

my counselor was called

It ended just as I submitted my app.

dang seems liek ALOT of ppl are having their counselors called. i bet mine was too…but she is prob really secretive and i dont have the courage to ask her :frowning: lol
