Business, undecided as to anything specific

So is the acceptance envelope bigger than the rejection envelope?

Rejection letter came today

Congrats everyone on your acceptance into the SHC at PSU. Make sure you join the Schreyer Honors College class of 2015 group set up on Facebook. The admins are your 2011 honors college orientation mentors and Dean Brady himself is a member and are willing to answer any and all questions you may have!

I just got my acceptance letter - I’m in!!! It came in a big white envelope. I’m so excited! :D

I just got my acceptance letter and $2,000 scholarship from the college of ag. So excited.

Hey what does the rejection letter look like? Is it small and sad? I’m hoping i get it tomorrow.

Daughter got an acceptance for vocal performance, but didn’t say yea or nay about the honors college…any thoughts? What did the rejection letter say? Do you just get accepted into PSU but not the honors college or does it specifically say you are not accepted to honors college?

Wow a lot of my friends got letters today both acceptances and rejections but I didnt get anything yet. Heck a person in my neighborhood got her letter but I got nothing. Wow US postal service, thanks for making me wait longer than needed…

I called the admissions office today.

The person I spoke with said they had 2,900 applications and accepted 700. The woman said that they expect 300 to accept.

acceptance letter came today…big white envelope

accepted to shc but im not sure if im going to attend psu

does anyone know if penn state offers any merit scholarships besides the 3500 for schreyer

got my acceptance letter today and I am now officially enrolled in psu! congrats everyone and best of luck to all

@nola15 - yes, they do offer scholarships. I know someone who got $7,500 from the college of engineering. It was indicated in their Schreyer’s acceptance. It said that the $7,500 was renewable each year provided that they stayed enrolled in the college of engineering. This was in additon to the $3,500.

I am not sure what schools/colleges other than engineering also give scholarships.

You may get some more academic ones that will come out with the fin aid package in April/May. A lot of it is college/major dependent. But there are several university wide ones that can be quite nice if you qualify for them (need/merit).

My son’s offer came today (in-state). It also comes with a description of the honors dorms, which are very centrally located for most classroom buildings and for the businesses on College Av. On a huge campus, that is a major advantage.

what is the “rejection letter”…if they accept you to something other than the honors college, is that a rejction?

^^Well if you received a decision letter from Schreyers at all, you’ve already been accepted into the Penn State school you’ve applied to.
