HAS ANYONE RECIEVED UF HONORS CONTACT BY MAIL- My friend did...and I know i qualify but havent recieved any communications from them

When did they receive it and what did it look like?

I had received a letter from the Honors Program in early October inviting me to their Honors Visitation Day on November 11th. The letter says that the Visitation Day is not an orientation and is "exclusively for top students who are undecided about where to attend college".

Yeah, I got that letter too.

They want you to visit early and be ready to commit if you are accepted. This is from their website:

"If you are admitted to UF and the Office of Admissions determines that you meet these minimum criteria, you will receive an invitation to apply for the Honors Program along with your UF acceptance letter. Students who are invited must postmark their confirmation materials by March 14 (for November 1 UF applicants) or April 18 (for UF applicants after November 1)."

The letters may have been sent to intrigue people into checking it out, but it is just that. You will not receive any real invitation in until you are admitted into the university, which I believe is one big date in February for you guys.
After that, if you know you qualify and still don't get any invitation, call them because they are prone to oversight and misdirected mail. Be sure not to wait if friends are getting invites to apply (or are filling out applications!) and call them immediately. Good luck!
