Have any of you had your offers revoked?

No.

In fact, Goldman is just now giving offers to some of their SAs, and Lehman Brothers SAs had their offers converted to Barclays offers.

So nothing has been revoked.

Are you talking about MBA or undergrad summer associates?

My friend's S(now sr. in college) worked for a BB bank (that is still in existence) this past summer and in his office (in a major city) no one received an offer.

The large bank I work for is honoring all offers though we did offer fewer jobs than last year. Everyone we really wanted was offered a job however.

there's an article on forbes about lehman offers being pulled. perhaps some are going to barclays, but some are not

BK22889,

Could you please provide a link to that article? I tried googling but couldn't find it.

I know for a fact that Lehman has pulled some analyst offers. MS/GS hasn't revoked any as far as I know but bonuses will be nothing next year.

MonkeySee,

Were these people with offers in IBD and S&T?

If they were in IMD it makes sense. Just curious now...

The guy I talked to said they were in IBD. I'm not sure how many just that it was a "meaningful portion."

UBS looks to be axing 1900 jobs

Here it is
Post-Lehman, Barclays to cut 3,000 - Oct. 10, 2008

Yes, I read that earlier today.

I was not speaking about the cutting of current employees, which is what this article is referring to, but rather FT offers. Cuts have been expected for weeks as Barclays and Lehman share overlaps in the Fixed Income Business.

Yes, they have. My S works in PE and his firm has been receiving resumes from people whose offers have been rescinded from IB. People from Barclays and Lehman among them.
