Have I become an international from domestic?

Hi

Recently, I've just sent my additional information regarding my new awards, achievements, thoughts and feelings etc etc to MIT via email.

Yes, they've received it but when they repplied to me, they used the email, mitintl@mit.edu, which is used only for internationals.

When I was sending the additional info, I simply mentioned my name and that I am an applicant from an European country. However, I do have a green card, and about a month ago, when I was calling the MIT office, they told me they considered me as a domestic.

Is it possible that since I forgot to EXPLICITLY specifically state that I am domestic as well in my email, would the MIT admissions officers be confused and put me in the supposedly more competitive international applications pool?

After all, when I applied, I did insert my US social securities no., and besides I also faxed them my Green Card copy long time ago...

please help!!!!!!!

Your best bet is to contact them directly, not us. They're the only people who could tell you for sure either way.

If your application form has you listed as domestic, then you will be considered in the domestic pool.

All of the information in your application is summarized when it's read and entered onto a summary card. This card is what's used to evaluate you during selection. If the card says you're domestic (which it must, if you sent the appropriate documentation), then it will not be changed later in the process.

thanks for the response...

Now eventually I can sit back and relax. No matter what the outcome is for me, I know I did my best, so there's no regret. :)
