Have I thrown away my chances with this B?

I've had plenty of Bs in math, and just one B in english and one in history. (3.81 UW so far, not counting this semester's grades) I guess I'm more disappointed with my most recent B in statistics because I was only 2% away from an A, and I had solid As in the first and second trimesters. As it is, my semester grade will be a B.

I've applied to many top 20 schools, and I can't help but feel like this B is going to break me for Dartmouth and other schools. Will this senior semester B kill my chances? I know when April comes, all the mistakes I made in high school are going to come back to haunt me.

The good and the bad news: One B will never kill your chance at a top college. But you speak of having plenty of B’s. That was going to make a Dartmouth extremely tough unless you go to an exceptional high school with grade deflation, where plenty of B’s left you at the top of your class.
