Have you ever heard of this?

Hi, I'm applying to Stanford online. There is limited space for the Academic Honors section, so I'm having problems shortening it. I want to say "American Scholastic Mathematics Exam Top Scorer" but that won't fit. If I just say "ASME Top Scorer" will they know what that means? Has anyone else heard of the ASME before? Thanks for your help!

Is there space for "AS Math Exam top scorer"? At least that way they would have some idea what it means. I know there's one person who deals with math people in particular (ones who seem to have strong potential in math), so there's a good chance he'd know, but your 1st reader probably wouldn't. If you can get across an idea of what it is, that's probably your best bet.

thank you so much!

follow marlgirl's advice :-)

what was the character limit, again? something like 30 chars?

"Amer. Scholastic Math Exam Top Scorer"
should fit, right down to the last character...
:D

I got the "Daughters of the American Revolution Outstanding History Student Award"... I shortened it to "Daughters of the Am. Rev. Award"... so, yeah, I feel your pain. Or do you guys think they would know what "DAR" stands for?

Ugh! I feel like such an idiot! I definately could have fit "American Scholastic Math Exam Top Scorer." Oh well, I already submitted it. I guess they'll have to try to figure out what "AS Math Exam" means. :(
