Haven't gotten my decision yet?

Hey everyone,

I’m a bit worried - I applied to Purdue on October 20 (Purdue received everything on October 21), and I haven’t received a decision yet. Additionally, on my application checklist tab it says

“Application Checklist…is complete! Your application file will be sent to the Admissions Committee for evaluation.”

Does this mean it hasn’t been sent to the Admissions Committee?

Regardless, does this long wait for a decision mean I have a lesser chance of admission (perhaps they’re just waiting for my first quarter grades)?

@hychet That status doesnt mean that it hasnt been sent to the admissions committee yet. That is the default status you will see until they get to updating the portal. You got your app in early and should be hearing from them soon. I dont think they are waiting for your first Q grades. Dont stress…

Most who applied mid to late October haven’t heard anything yet. Also you think this is a long wait? This is nothing compared to most universities…patience is the key to success. I-)
