@Epeemom thanks!!! Just so anxious…friends in my area have already gotten their decisions and I wasn’t sure what to think! I’ll just look to Netflix to keep myself distracted
@mcgillan were the friends in your area accepted, waitlisted, or rejected?
Accepted in NYC! My folder doesn’t have any financial aid information-- any one in the same position? Or know where I can find that information?
@Quijote I’m in the same position. I was going to email them, because I thought it was just me. If you’re also missing it, maybe they’ll send it soon and I can rest easy for now.
From the fin aid FAQ:
Q. When do I receive information on financial aid?
A. Financial aid decisions for those who have submitted complete applications by the established deadlines are usually released by the middle of April (or slightly earlier if we can get everything done more quickly).
I’m not sure if that means online or paper, but I assume it’s mail.
@Quijote: Thanks! I should have looked it up myself.
IDOC processing was really laggy, so those who submitted their FA info towards the end of the deadline (yet still before) may not receive their FA packages with their letter. This has been the case with other colleges.
@Ctesiphon around what day are we talking for “towards the end”? I haven’t had a problem with other colleges, but I’ll see what happens. Hopefully others will post and say whether they’ve received their packages.
I believe Haverford college’s deadline for IDOC documents was March 1st or March 2nd. Those who uploaded tax documents close to that deadline, while they were recorded to be in on time, did not actually get to the college in time for it to be sent with the decision letter, due to messed up IDOC processing and whatnot.
@tonroxmysox both rejected!!
@mcgillan yeah that’s consistent with my two friends from my city who received waitlists. I’m wondering if acceptances are bigger and take longer and that’s why we haven’t received one. Who knows.
The acceptance package comes in a large envelope and includes a folder containing info on accepted student’s weekend, what to do next, etc. Ours was postmarked 3/24 and cost $2.03 to send.
@Epeemom is it literally a package?
It’s a large envelope , with a bi-fold folder inside (8 1/2 x 11) . Not a box
@Epeemom is it possible the acceptances take longer to deliver? Two local friends received waitlists yesterday but nothing for me yet.
I’m sorry but I just don’t know. You could check with the post office. It took 3 days to arrive in New England (mailed 3/24 received 3/27)
Just received my acceptance in Mass!!
I’m in Philadelphia and still haven’t heard anything. Is it worth calling admissions? I don’t want to bother them if I don’t have to.
@august2019 has your mail come today?
