Haverford 2019 RD Thread

Accepted

@tonroxmysox! Congratulations! Apparently it does take longer for the larger envelope!

Yeah, and still nothing. Are you close by, too?

I live in Indiana. In my experience it takes an extra day for the acceptance letter to come than the rejection or waitlist one.

Lets hope you’re right!

Is it your first choice?

It depends on financial aid. I have a really good cheap option at my state university so I’ll have to look at how much haverford wants me to pay and make my decision from there.

i got a waitlist letter, but i wish I was accepted.

Got my wait list letter in TX two days ago. Congrats to everyone who got in!

Has anyone on the west coast received anything yet?

So…any idea on whether people actually get off the Haverford waitlist? Accepted at 8 of 10 of my other schools…and wait-listed at Haverford :frowning:

I live in California and just received the large envelope from haverford. However it only contained a packet about financial aid and no decision or anything else. Is this normal?

@shooeyshushu - If there was no letter acknowledging your acceptance, I would think it was an envelope stuffing oversight. Definitely call them or email them!

My D just received her acceptance letter/packet today (3/30). Postmarked 3/24, and we are in Connecticut.
USPS - you really made her sweat.

Still nothing for me in CA :frowning:

Received fin aid package from Haverford today (NY) so it should be on its way to other students!

@CoreyDad‌ have you received your decision yet?

@confin15 I’m in the Bay Area, and I still haven’t gotten anything.

@Shooeyshushu‌ If it has just financial aid in it (and nothing about visit days or more info about haverford) then I guess the official decision and materials are in the mail, just somehow getting to you later than the financial aid packet.

I’m not sure if this is right, but I’m under the impression that you only get fin aid if you get accepted. If so, congrats!

@literatimuffin I live in the Bay Area too. Hopefully we’ll hear something tomorrow
