Snow started falling yesterday afternoon and has continued throughout the day currently falling at a rate of 1 to 2 inches an hour with as much as a foot or more expected in total. Philly declared a state of emergency. Haverford is closed for the day for the safety of students and employees. Stuff happens. Cut them some slack. You’ll survive an extra day or two of waiting.
One day is nothing!! we can do it guys!! … good luck to those of you in the very snowy area sending u imaginary sun from california
As someone who lives nearby – just want to say the township has called a snow emergency and we are supposed to stay off the roads unless it is an urgent to travel. Good luck everyone – my son applied last year.
Oh my. Does this kind of thing happen often?
Haverford will be opening late tomorrow (10 am) per the website. Admissions opens at 10:30. Hopefully, they will be able to release decisions Thursday.
Where my paranoid boys at. Just got waitlisted at Davidson and rejected from Colby last week. Haverford is my dream school but the way things are looking…
Can someone do a quick chanceme? 3.8 UW 4.12 W. 30 ACT. Mediocre ECs, but low-income 1st gen college student Latino in the California desert
@bonusoceans It’s possible. You may have other Ex C’s and activities to boost your chances. All the best
Haverford mailed out the decisions this morning!
@sblaurel so are we going to get the decisions in like 4-6 business days?
If it’s first class mail, it takes 1-3 days per the U.S. Postal Service. Put “190” for the zip code into this map for “originating” and it will let you know the typical time. Basically it’s 2 days for Eastern PA, Eastern NY, Eastern VA, CT, RI, and Western MA, and 3 days everywhere else.

Yes- PA residents will be first to know! Good luck everyone!
Does anyone know if international students receive an email?
I’m an international student too, and I’m going crazy… ha ha.
it’s official: haverford mailed out decisions 1h ago! (citation: haverfordedu twiter acct)
So I have two mailing addresses and a permanent address on file, does anyone know whether they only send it to my permanent or if they send it to all three or what exactly?
@sb0110 In previous years international students have received emails initially, which are then followed by a physical mailing. I believe the emails go out a day or two after the mailing to domestic applicants.
@takacatboy They will not send 3 copies of either an acceptance packet or denial letter. Most likely they will send one to the address you designated as primary, or their best guess at it.
i signed up for this site to see what packages/mailpieces are being shipped to my address. hopefully i see something from hc soon informeddelivery.usps.com
I’m an international applicant. I just got an email! ACCEPTED!!
