so i got a d in ap calc for first semester and i have applied to the uc's. how likely is it that my admissions would get revoked? my gpa/sat was not good when i applied so i'm mainly asking about the the lower uc's such as santa cruz, riverside.

thanks

Getting a D senior year is kinda iffy. There was a poster last year on this forum who got a D in Calc too. Though optimistic that UCSC would not rescind his acceptance (he got accepted), they did in fact. He ended up going to Community college.

Again, it really depends on many factors whether they rescind your acceptance or not. It is likely they will rescind your application unless by some miracle they had a shortage of students. Considering this year has the highest freshman entering class and these imminent budget cuts, your luck is even slimmer than normal.

Good luck however. Only thing I can say is that if you had a good reason for receiving this D, you could write them and express your heart. Even if you do not have a good reason, you could still try to send them your plea, though that has not been very successful in the past. Best of luck!

What did you get for the 2nd semester and midterm ??

Well I'm barely just starting second semester. but so far I have 5 A's and 1 B.
