I want to know b/c I just got a 71 on my Calc BC test and i prolly will get a B this marking period. I got an A last marking period. I am pretty sure I will Ace the final exam, bringing my average to A- at best, or B+ lowest. Will this hurt my chances? I am sal of my class and usually get all A's. I've gotten a couple of B's but no one in my school has gotten A's in those classes (except for like one kid)

I personally don’t think it’ll matter too much. I mean the greatest effect it could leave would be in your rank, if it changes that. They will see the grade, but Calculus BC is known to be a quite difficult class, and they’ll see that it’s in that class. It won’t be the thing to make/break you :)

^Bump! Can someone confirm what he said?

I was wondering the same thing - i just had a couple of tests fall into the low 80s, although i hope to bring my average back up by the end of the semester (end of january), but i’d like to know just in case. i was away on a school trip for 2 weeks and had to make up three tests (ap chem, ap calc ab) in two days. my brain basically fried.

My daughter got the first B of her high school career in BC Calc around this time last year and her grade stayed right around there all year long. She is a happy Yale freshman right now.

im pretty sure the rank used for your apps is already fixed
i believe mine was fixed from the end of junior year!

Yeah it is. The mid-year report will show the new one though, for your other applications or if you get deferred.

dont think they recalculate rank and stuff, though
for example, at chicago i only had to manually self-report my senior year grades, very informal thing
also i remember i was told by my guidance counselor that the midterm grades wouldnt be sent on the mid-year report to other schools, so that was a huuge relief
