*HELP* Admission Decision

hello guys, i have 3 questions to ask about admission decision.
i’m an international student applying for EE master to some grad schools in US.

from Biology/Biomedical Sciences Applicants 2008 thread, i see that many ppl have already received invitation for interviews.

i am wondering why they got their invitation so early. is it because of the early submission of the application? or is it because of they applied to phd program?

do masters applicants receive invitation for interview too?

i always submitted my application on the last minute (like 2-3 days before the deadline). does that hurt my chances of being admitted? i already got notifications (in late Dec - early Jan) from all the schools i’m applying that my application is “Complete” though…

Thanks in advance!

(1) Each field sends out acceptances (or interview invitations) at a different time. I used applycorner.com to search for last year's EE applicants and it looks like, as a Master's applicant, you will hear in late February through mid-March if you are accepted.

(2) In EE, I do not think that master's applicants are generally interviewed. This is probably part of why you will wait longer for a decision.

(3) Probably not. Unless your schools have "rolling admissions" (as med schools and law schools do), you wouldn't have gotten a real advantage by submitting early.
