Is it too late to start studying for AP Psych this may?
The deadline for the exam is thursday, and I just finished reading the first 2 chapters. (Self-studying)
Will I be able to manage my course load while studying for AP exam?
And how should I pace myself in studying for this specific exam?
This is my first time writing this exam, and I really don't know what to do at this point of time.

Okay, first of all, how much time do you have? Is your courseload currently very demanding, and are you left with little spare time?

I do have spare time, but I normally have ECs everyday after school, and I also teach 9 hours a week with having to go to church every sunday.
I would say my course load is not very demanding, but occasionally have major projects given every months. I have around 2-4 hours to spare on a typical night.

Okay, well you can definitely self-study for AP psychology in this amount of time. You should buy the Barron's book because it is quite frankly the best one. If you feel you need it, buy a textbook as well, but this most often isn't necessary.

Get the Barron's book ASAP, and startt studying intensively. Try and get your hands on some official Collegeboard released exams, also.

ahh i'm in the same situation.

except i only have 10 hours on the weekends to spare. (sat+sun)

is that enough? lol :(

im using princeton... is barrons realli a lot better?

Barrons is way better for psychology imo. you have more than enough time to self study it. I read the barrons book in about 5-6 hours and the information stuck because it was presented well and the format of the book reinforces the info. All i have left is to study the practise tests, so if u start soon and just spend a few weekends, you'll be fine

Barron's really is a lot better. You should definitely either buy it or borrow it from a library or a friend or something. It's definitely worth it. The only problem I have with it is that in the statistics chapter, they kind of hurl definitions and concepts at you. You may have to read some of that chapter over again. However, with everything else, it's really good, and interesting.

you guys are pretty smart or something, becuase it definitely took me longer than that to get through barron's book. Though i take notes in a notebook, so that slow me down quite a bit, but good to review. I'm a person of little free time (8 classes, go figure...) but i still manage to finish in 4 or so weeks with a lot of weekend studying. so i think if you have freetime in weekdays, and good work attitude, you should be ok.

That brings up something helpful. I find that taking notes as you read helps the information stay in your head. When you get to studying it, you will find it to be much easier if you took notes. That's just me, though..
