help...architecture related

Ok I need some help, I’m extremely knew here so I don’t even know if anyone can help…I am an international student who wrote the sat on December 3rd where I got a score of 2020 (critical reading – 730, mathematical reasoning- 670 and writing skills – 620). I am interested in pursuing a degree in architecture. Unfortunately I don’t really have any money to pay for college especially with the exchange rate. Neither do I have a portfolio. Neither do I have any SAT II subject…I do however have ordinary level subjects….all one’s (well a’s….it a Caribbean Examination Council thing) So I was just wondering with my scores and lack of portfolio etc what are the best schools accredited by the NAAB that I can apply to anywhere in the united states that will offer me a full scholarship or has a need blind admission policy. Should I try and rush a portfolio before deadlines? Thank you.

p.s. I’m applying to Pratt and RISD…what are my chances??

or if push comes to shove where is the best schools i can apply for civil engineering or urban and regional planning that will give me a full scholarship and then do my M. arch after??

first of all, from what I've heard RISD and Pratt put a lot of weight on the portfolio. I don't know how many ok pieces you can make in a month. I think international students dont get scholarships, but I could be wrong. I seriously think people could put a portfolio together in a month, but money will always be a problem for you. International students can't get loans either. Try Cooper Union, its a free school. Only 30-40 freshmen get in per year.

off the top of my head i remember two schools that dont require portfolio, they are the university of illinois and university of buffalo, buffalo is a state school so its pretty cheap. also i think u have a pretty good chance at pratt since they will look at ur application without a portfolio if u have a strong gpa. risd puts a lot of stress on the portfolio and dont look at SATs as much

Consider the University of Cincinnati, which has rolling admissions and has an architecture program rated number 2 in the country. Let me warn you that their school lf Design, Art, Archtecture and Planning is VERY difficulty to get admitted to. Also, you need to apply early in the year. Check them out.
