HELP! Are SAT IIs necessary?

SAT IIs will not be offered in my country so I cannot take them :frowning:

My top choices were JHU and Boston College, but they both sate that they ‘recommend’ sat 2 subject tests
will my acceptance chances be extremely small if i applied without sat IIs??
what if I took the act?

They are reccomended, but not mandated. It may hurt you a small amount, but you could explain on the Common Application your inability to take the test due to location to prevent any penalties. Keep in mind, however, that many international students do have these tests!
