Hello all!! Im in desperate need of your help. Ok, so before I got my acceptance to Gtown, I definitely was planning to go to USC (university of southern California) and turned down so many good schools to go there
Coming from a country where its hot 364 days a year I thought I couldnt stand the thought of freezing in the East coast..(I know
lame excuse)!
But then, I WAS ACCEPTED to Georgetown and all I had planned for USC, And the sunny California gr8 experience is now questioned.. PLEASe tell me what to do?? What would U do if U were me?? Still decide to go to usc and have the time of your life as well as a well rounded college experience? Or work your ass off in the freezing cold at Gtown but manage to be at one of the countrys most prestigious universities???
Confusing dilemma pple HELP! (p.s majoring in business).

well I do think that it isn't "freezing cold" here. It's the typical east coast four seasons weather. When you arrive it'll be hot, sunny, beautiful, etc., then fall, then winter with snow, cold, etc, then spring with flowers, warmer weather, etc. So, it isn't freezing cold here for the majority of the school year. I'd say that if you're dead set on USC, then you should go, as you sound like if you've made up your mind and it's the place for you. MSB is great, Georgetown is great, and you definitely would have the time of your life here as well. However, I'd say go to USC if that's where you really want to go, aside from prestige, etc.

I think if you're looking forward to USC and think you're going to enjoy it more than any other school... then you should go there. Don't let prestige be the deciding factor to you for college, because you might end up somewhere you don't like and think you've made a mistake. That said, DC is hardly Siberia... and I'm sure one would work just as hard there as any other top university.

I think it's more important to consider how good the departments are for what you're interested in at each school and how you think you'll fit in at each campus.

soo...how good is MSB at georgetown? is it one of the universitie's best departments? Because I know (i have done a lot of research) and i heard that Marshall (at USC) is excellent.(im sorry im an international so im not very familiar with reputation as regarding top uni's)
