I got accepted into CUNY CSI ( College of Staten Island) , and after I got my letter of acceptance, I should have got information such as deposit and such. And I didn't, I wasn't aware of their deadline for deposit, I didn't where do I make the deposit, where do I send it exactly.

So now... I did a little search on it, and the deadline was passed a month ago. I sent them email about why wasn't I notified of where do I send the money, I still don't know. Its been almost two weeks that I sent them, and they haven't replied. So last week, I sent the email to the CUNY instead of the college emails, and same thing, no reply. I don't have a phone, I don't know how I am suppose to communicate with them.

And of course.. I talked to my counselor about it and she can't do anything about it, she said I missed it. That didn't help me.

What can I do..? I don't live in Staten Island, I would've gone there already otherwise, I'm in downtown Manhattan so it takes a time to get down, and I'm already making my plans to do that. The lack of there response makes me think that I should just brush this school off my list.

You don’t have a phone at all? Not even a land-line at your home? If you don’t, why on earth didn’t you ask your counselor to let you use the school’s phone when you were in her office?

She doesn’t want me in her office. When ever I come to her office, she always have that look that she doesn’t want to bother. I am afraid to ask for the phone in her office. They are phones in every class, but they are only used for school classes, and offices inside school, and you can’t call outside numbers of the school. The school office has been close down for the past few days, and principle said it will be for more than a week.I don’t want to name my high school, so I won’t go further in detail.

Almost everyone’s deadline was a month ago (most all are May 1), so assuming you didn’t get this deposit in, you also missed the other deadlines if you have other acceptances. Borrow a cell phone from somebody (friend, sibling, neighbor) and call them tomorrow. And while you may not have gotten the mailings, you did miss the deadline… so suck up and be nice to them even if you are not happy when you call them. Or else you won’t be going to college there in the fall, as they do not have to accept your deposit at this point. Nor does any other school whose deadline you have missed at this point.
