From: CCC

So the story is this semester I am currently enrolled in a paleontology course and the highest grade I can get in that class is a C, I missed a test due to family emergency and the professor would not let me make up the test(only 3 test in the course). (grades are a,b,c,d,f, no + or -'s)

I am wondering if I should drop this class or not. For those who are familiar with the CCC, this paleontology course is part of my igetc. If I do drop this class I would need to take 2 science courses next semester as I've already signed up for spring 2010 for a bio course that would finish my igetc requirements. So if I do drop, i would have to add an extra science class(prob paleontology again?).

My standings in all my other classes this semester are As, so the only grade below an A is the paleontology course.

My current gpa: 3.390( my first semester i had a 2.5 due to some difficulties, but every semester after that I've earned a 4.0)

GPA after this semester without a drop(C in paleontology course): 3.474
GPA after this semester with a drop(C in paleontology): 3.519

Do you guys think I should drop the course?
For those who are in a CCC, do you think this will violate the TAG agreement I have with UC campuses?

also note that my current classes are calc 2, paleontology, speech, ethnic studies, and although it isnt really a class, varsity cross country(but it is UC transferable), all totaling 18 units
