HELP!!! Going to have a F on my transcript from another CC before I transfer.

Here is my situation. I usually go to one Community College, but after dropping one class from my CC this semester, I thought I would take a class at another CC. The problem is that I have been having trouble with the admissions from the other CC because I couldn't access the class on Blackboard or even be able to register for the class with an add code, so I decided to not take the class this semster and take it next Spring at my primary CC.

After I submitted my UC application to transfer, I talked to an UCI conselor about my schedule and we looked at what classes I'm planning on taking and I noticed that I was registered for the class at the other CC and it was past the drop date. So I e-mailed the instructor and he said he is going to put an F on my transcript.

I don't know if this is a problem, because by the end of next Spring, my academic history transcript for my primary CC is great while the other CC is listed as taking only one course and getting an F on it. How is this going to effect my chances of admission to UCI? should I report to UCI?

Yes it will effect you badly. Also, if you report, i think u need some evidences that show u r not attend the class at all. If i was Uc add, i would think, is this another excuse? i think he lies.

you obviously do a no-show petition.

But it is just one course from another community college that I don’t plan on ever going. I have no evidence that I didn’t do the work for the class at another community college because I didn’t do anything for the class.

If your F is the only class you took at the CC, you could just not report it. I know you’re not supposed to, but there’s no way of them finding out. They won’t find out because they only get the transcripts you send them. If it’s an F from your primary CC where you took all your other classes then there’s nothing you can do except try to petition and get it removed. They don’t look at anything until after the January update, so change your courses at the update, say you couldn’t get into the class and you should be fine. Is it ethical? No. Will it significantly improve your chances for admissions? Yes. Is there any way of you getting “caught”? No, I know someone that did this last year and they’re enrolled at UCLA right now.

The UCs can find out every college or university where you have a record of being enrolled by running your identifying information through The National Student Clearinghouse which compiles this information. The UCs use this website to ferret out applicants who try to hide parts of their academic record. If you have not reported every institution where you have a grade on record and the UCs see this when they access The National Student Clearinghouse website it will mean an automatic and immedicate rejection, If they find out after they have accepted you they will rescind your admission, if they find out while you are a student at the UC you will be expelled, and if they find out twenty years from now they will revoke your diploma.

I’m still confused should I report it or not? I just got my Fall grades from my teachers and in my primary college, which I have been going eversince Fall 2010, my GPA is 3.61, and I have 3 Ws due to unfortunate circumstances. While in the other CC which I don’t go to says my GPA is 0.00 and I only took 1 course, Which I know I dropped, that the teacher gave me an F on. I have been going to one of UCI’s library eversince my first year in High School to study for my classes and If I don’t get in, it will feel like the end of the world. In fact, I live near UCI. By the way the course has nothing to do with my major. My major is “Psychology and Social Behavior” and “Social Ecology” and the course I received a F on is Political Science. next semester(Spring 2012). I will be taking only classes at my primary college. Do I have any chance of getting into UCI?

3.61 Overall GPA and 1 'F" isn’t going to do anything! Your GPA will still be competitive for UCI. As long as that “F” isn’t your pre-requisites for your major.
