help! I wasn't able to enroll in classes that I reported on my app!

I currently go to UCSD and I applied to UCLA as a molecular/cell/developmental bio major and to UCB as an applied mathematics major. I reported on my app that I would be taking a 2nd-quarter ochem lab in my spring quarter here but it is completely enrolled now and I won't be able to take it! I found out recently, however, that I don't need to take the course at all. I obviously don't need the course for ucb (as a math major there), and ucla doesn't even require the course like I originally thought. Despite this, will making changes to my reported classes have a significant effect on my admissions results? And how do I go about making these changes? Any help/insight on this would be much appreciated!!

You will get the option to change your planned courses when the Transfer Academic Update comes around. Don’t worry it’s no big deal. :)

the TAU was last month! :(

Just email the admissions office and let them know there is a change to the list of courses you are taking this semester. That you were unable to register for the ochem lab, so are taking <whatever> instead. If there is a difference in the number of credits, let them know. I would not worry about this, I think this happens all the time, and you have a good reason for the change. Just be matter of fact, and let them know they can contact you if they have additional questions about it.</whatever>

I think we can still update our future courses on TAU after the deadline.
