<p>I'd say use words like "esoteric" that the reader will likely know but that are still impressive. Don't flaunt your intellect or memorizing skills by writing an essay replete with words like "obstreperous" and "penguid."</p>
<p>Try to end your body pargaprhs by explaing why the example applies to your thesis statement. Finally, don't fret the little details like misspellings or an occasional comma splice. Write a strong 1st draft and you'll be rewarded by a 5 or a 6.</p>
