Help me decide if I should bother trying to transfer!!!

I've been thinking about trying to transfer to Ohio State, but dont know if my grades are high enough and don't want to waste my time applying if theyre not. I currently go to a 4 year florida uni but I graduated HS from Ohio so I can still get in-state

I looked up the numbers online and they accept 86% of transfers (3900/4600) but dont know how accurate that info is. I have friends there that say its really easy to get accepted but idk

After this semester I have a 2.7 gpa with 60somethin credits and after next semester I could get that up to a 2.8ish hopefully

My gpa is so low becuase I got a 1.2 my first semester lol but ive had over a 3.0 for the last 3 or 4 semesters so if they look for improvements that will help. I also have a good amount of extra-curriculars.

SO if anyone that goes here can tell me how they got in that would be really helpful

Unfortunately, extra curriculum does not matter. They only look at GPAs and because you are no longer in state it will be much more harder to get in. But, I say that you should still try to apply if that’s the school you want to get into. Why do you want to get out of University of Florida though? The statistics that you are looking into might be for those who are in the local area/service area transferring from a cc.
