I will be applying to Ohio State. I graduated from an Ohio high school but now attend a community college in Florida. I will only have 26 credits when I transfer would it be better to transfer to a regional school first or straight to the main campus. I will have a 3.15 gpa. Also I know that since i graduated from an Ohio HS I can still use Ohio Residency under Forever Buckeyes.

Try to get that GPA up.

I’ve heard of transfer students getting accepting with 3.1s and transfer students getting denied with 3.4s. You will need an ACT score that’s on par with the average admitted freshmen, so in the 27-31 composite range.

What are your ECs?

I was just accepted as a transfer student about 3 weeks ago. I have a 2.09 on 60 credits at a Texas Community College so I think you’re definitely in lol.

I got into a bunch of other schools too so I’m still not sure if I’m going to attend tOSU yet.

That’s awesome that you can claim Ohio residency still!

@jbeezie6903,
I have a 2.2=/ and I applied for OSU spring 2013 semester. How long did it take you to hear back from them? I had my application turned in on Oct. 14th and my transcripts soon followed. Either way I had everything in on the due date (Nov.1st). My application status is under “Evaluation”. I’m a little nervous.

@jmartinez3716 You probably will need to raise your GPA because I’m going to transfer there but am currently waiting until I have more than 30 credits. So after Spring term I will have 36 credits. I’m going to apply for the Summer & Fall if I don’t get in summer.
