Hi! I'm trying to find a college that would suit me, and I was wondering if anyone could help. I would rather be on the east coast, preferably the Carolina's or above. I don't care about the size of the school, but I'd like to be able to receive a good education and meet intelligent, nice people. I'm interested in political science or journalism majors. I've got good stats, if that makes a difference, and let's pretend price doesn't matter. I'd rather be in a city environment, but I think small towns are also beautiful. I'd rather not be in a rural area, though. If you need any more information, just ask. Thanks in advance for the help!

georgetown? Prolly any of the ivies. Columbia sounds pretty good for you. how about like UVA. Theres tons of schools that match your criteria :)

Syracuse has a very good journalism program.

George Washington, American and University of Rochester.

Georgetown, GW, Boston College, NYU, Columbia, Boston University

University of Richmond, Siena, Skidmore, Union, William & Mary, Davidson, Vassar, Trinity College, Wheaton MA, Conn College, Holy Cross, Villanova, Bucknell, Haverford, Emerson, Colgate, Hamilton...kind of a random mix, but provides you with options for different sizes/settings. Best of luck!

Colgate, Holy Cross, Bowdoin.

Columbia, Harvard, Yale, Georgetown, maybe Princeton, Penn, Duke, Amherst as reaches (I don't care how good you are, these are reach schools).

Tufts, NYU, Barnard, Boston College and Boston Univ, Syracuse, Rochester, UVA (easier than the above, but very good).

Don't apply to Dartmouth, Cornell, Vassar, Williams- too rural.

I wouldn't say that Vassar or Cornell are rural. Poughkeepsie may not be the most exciting town, but it certainly would provide you with all the essential stores you would need and a Metro-North station with trains to the City, Ithaca is a fair-sized city with a downtown. Amherst is pretty much just as rural as Williams, too.

Syracuse, Tufts, G-Town, GW, ivies, NYU, UVA, plus all of the schools around Boston are worth looking at.
