I want Duke so bad!<3

Would you consider University of Virginia? I’m asking because you are in Virginia and University of Virginia, from what I heard, is a great university to go to. It’s not Duke, but it’s great and in state.

Like you said, Duke would be a reach for you. However, I do believe you have a chance if you raise your GPA, keep up the ECs, and do extremely well on the SAT.

Good Luck.

thank you so much!

Duke is not unbelievably out of your reach. if you raise your grades significantly, and have a solid SAT score you should have it as a low reach. actually, schools like duke value ECs and SAT scores slightly more than GPAs in my opinion. (its just my opinion, so if someone doesnt agree, dont shoot me) I feel this way because if you notice,GPA systems differ by county or by state, some are out of 5, some out of 4 and some out of 8. some are just random and weird. the point is, the GPA can be inflated by schools to look like something its not. so to compare you on a national level with all the other applicants, standardized testing is a valued material. just my thoughts xx
