I just received my SATII scores back, BioE 640, MathIc 670, and writing 650. I already have 3 satIIs in (630Writ, 680 chem, and 660 US Hist)... I am applying to CALS for Biology (2nd major Bio and Society). Should I send my new SATIIs in, or is the Biology too low? Thanks :-).

Those are all acceptable scores for CALS. Maybe not up to the standard of the ultra-selective Biology major but it's what you have. I would suggest sending them, it can't hurt.

Yes, when ta school doesn't require scores from students, they can't take information they don't have on ALL students and use it for a decision, that wouldn't be fair. They can only use scores as a plus. The only way I could see scores hurting you is if they were hypothetically trying to decided between your app and another persons app or something (I don't even know if they compare students or if they just compile statistics on the applicant pool) and the other person had a much higher bio score than you. But that's like a worst case scenario, which might not even be possible.

so, what do you guys think I sohud ldo. Does the 20 point increase in writing (which was a 9% percentile increase) and the 670 (76percentile) overpower the 640 low BioE exam?

Your bio score is NOT bad. It would be nice if it was higher since it is your intended major but you are strong in other subjects.

P.S. Just remember that biology is notoriously difficult to get admitted to, just check out the stats on some of the applicants on the RD roster. You're competing with all the predmed kids. Good luck.
