Help on college essay please

Many students expand their view of the world during their time in college. Such growth often results from encounters between students who have lived different cultural, economic, or academic experiences. With your future growth in mind, describe a potential classmate that you believe you could learn from either within or outside a formal classroom environment.

Hi guys, I am applying to a college which has this as one of their essays, I would like for my essay to stand out and help my admission process, i was wondering if anyone could gimme advice on a format, I really cant see myself starting as…

“A potential class mate i could learn from could be…”
“I can learn from somone like…”
“potential classmate blah blah blah”

Well youve read my dilemma please have a heart and help a poor soul out…

I just need somone to gimme an idea for a format i can begin with, and then ill take it from there, So please creative minds lend me ur talent for this one moment.

Don't be stuck on the first sentence. The thing to do is just start writing with anything, even the ideas you wrote above. It doesn't matter, because you can edit or change the first sentence later, after you have some substance to your essay. Often times people write the first paragraph as a warm up and you find that that can be discarded because the essay really begins with the second paragraph.

So don't try to write one sentence at at time. Get some ideas out on paper first to get the juices going. FWIW, this is got the be the worst essay question of all time.

seriously....
