I CAN'T DECIDE!!!

UCSD - Psychology BA (2nd choice); 1st choice was Neuroscience
UCSB - Biopsychology BS
Cal Poly SLO - Animal Science BS

*Also accepted to St. Mary's College in California & Notre Dame but they are too expensive (BS Nursing)

**Also accepted to CSU San Marcos (Prenursing) & SDSU (Psychology but can apply to the nursing school after my 1st semester is completed) - can earn a BS in Nursing from both schools.

I would like to become a RN, nurse practitioner or physician assistant - would have to continue on to accelerated BSN or Masters Program after receiving my BA/BS. Also, I'm still considering vet tech or veterinarian (even though getting into vet school is harder than med school). I know it is difficult to transfer to biological science major (all impacted) at UCSD, and there is not a lot you can do with a BA in Psychology. At UCSB, I would have the BS in Biopsychology and would not have to worry about switching majors; however, UCSD is higher ranked than UCSB nationwide and more so worldwide.

I have visited all the campuses and like them all. However, I do currently live in San Diego, so I wouldn't be far from home if I went to UCSD - not sure I would get true college experience even though I would be living on campus. Also, Santa Barbara is beautiful campus but a party school (IV)! Don't get me wrong I love a party and want to have a good time with my friends, but I'm worried that it might be too much of a distraction, especially with a difficult major. I should also mention that I love working with and helping animals - I currently volunteer as an equine assistant at the Helen Woodward Animal Center Equine Hospital, have worked with many disabled children in therapeutic riding programs and just finished an internship at the San Diego Zoo/Wild Animal Park. Cal Poly has an Equine Center and a great animal science program. All 3 colleges have an equestrian team which I will be part of - very important to me!

All 3 are great colleges and have a lot to offer if only I could choose which major and campus. Maybe I should even consider the other 2 CSUs (CSUSM & SDSU) where I could earn a BS in Nursing in 4 years and not have to continue on to grad school or an accelerated BS program. Of course, you don't have the prestige and reputation that come with the UC's or Cal Poly SLO.

Anyway, I'm so confused ... any insight or opinions would be greatly appreciated!! Thanks
