So today was not such a good day. I was suspended for two days for copying homework yes just a 10 point assignment my admin is crazy all the teachers completely disagree with the punishment but w/e. (i just copied a few questions right before i turned it in bc i did not complete it at home like everyone else was doing all seniors of course and i got caught. hate this. but ya.

i am a second semester senior and have already applied to all my schools awhile back. I have been accepted into Oregon and Arizona and waiting on about 5 private schools. I asked the admin if this will affect college and they said that colleges will not know about it (that what i assumed since i already applied) and that it will be shredded up right when i graduate. I really hope she is not lying i dont know why she would but can someone just say that i am fine.

MY SCHOOL IS CRAZY AH. But its for tomorrow which is only 3 periods and thurs which is four so more like one day and thursday i have a recruiting visit to Seattle U for tennis anyways so would not have been going to school anyways.

So, I guess your asking for reassurence on the fact that colleges won't see it?

Sorry, but i know at a lot of schools, including mine, that would go on your final report at the end of second semester. If I were you I would find out if it will or not. If so, you need to call/write the colleges and better have a good explanation. (i agree it was ridiculous for them to suspend you, but colleges will just see you were suspended for cheating = really bad)

i guess it was not a question lol. i just wanted to explain how nuts my school is and see if you guys back up the claim of the ast principal saying it will not affect college in any way.

thanks.

i feel like it has something to do with it being a short-term suspension not a long term bc there are two at my school.

Most college applications ask you if you have ever been suspended or caught cheating, and where you sign there is usually something stating that you will inform them if you are ever suspended or caught cheating. You might want to review copies of your applications to see what you've agreed to. If you agreed to report academic dishonesty or suspensions and opt not to do so, if your high school administration screws up and your final transcript indicates your suspension and/or cheating, you may get your admission offer rescinded. It would be embarrassing to be told a few weeks into the fall semester to pack your bags and go home. And if you opt to admit what you did, I wouldn't use the excuse that you "just copied a few questions" and "everyone else was doing [it]."

i am looking at my agenda for the consequences of "cheating" and for mine it says short term suspension for what i did and if it happens again the consequence is a suspension (w/o the word short term). So maybe that is what would go on ones transcript. I should just ask but then again i did and she said no affect.. i dont know anymore. My school URG!
