he had a pretty tough course load, nothing liike yours. just relax slugger . . there is really nothing that you can do now. worrying is not going to get you anywhere. trust me, everything will work out. STOP STRESSING!

Hah thanks. Im not stressing I just wanna go there so badly. I think I should get in for summer which is a relief. thanks baby

you are stresssing! you cant sleep! there is ntohing you can o now! just wait it out.

Honestly, everything that people say they "dont look at", i wouldn't really believe. I got into UPark for summer, and shocked everyone, including myself. I'm the idiot that has the 2.9 GPA <- (when accepted, i have a 3.0 now) & 1110 on my SATs.. I fell in love with UPark when I visited this summer, so I went crazy doing everything I could to get in. My GPA is partly poor because of being really sick freshman year, but also because of pure laziness. I sent in an additional essay explaining my illness and how much I wanted to go to Penn State, I had five recommendations from teachers/counslers/club sponsors, and a five page resume of all my volunteer work.. My advice is just keep pushing, you have to show them how bad you want it.. I feel bad that I have such a low GPA and got in, while others didnt, but the admissions office must have seen something other then my stats.. so show them you're human, with a huge passion.. not just another statistic.

gml, I am extremely happy for you, I hope now that I can get in as well. I have a 3.4 uw 3.7 w and a 25 ACT with 9 aps. I am praying I get in for Fall or Summer. I've done everything possible to show them I want to go; emailed admissions counselors, visited the campus twice, and went to every PSU meeting in the tristate area! I hope I get in.

gml is right. so is baby.

listen, i didnt get into penn state main. i have a 3.2 gpa (its the same weighted/unweighted) and a 1200/1600 sat (or 1820/2400). i was really upset that i got into altoona instead. i e-mailed the admissions conselor and asked for reconsideration. this guy gary (the admin. conselor) said "PENN STATE DOES NOTTTTT GIVE RECONSIDERATION UNLESS YOU HAVE EXTENUATING CIRCUMSTANCES .. ie: death in the family, major injury (as gml had), an undiagnosed learning disability, or etc."

i emailed back saying that i did have 3 deaths in the family and a major injury (kinda personal). then, gary emailed me back yet again saying for me to email him a more extensive letter explaining everything and asked if i had any friends or family that could write to him as well.

so, yes, you can appeal it .. but you must must must must MUST have a good reason. not just because you wanna go to UP.

hope this helped.

oh, forgot to mention this:
after i told the admin conselor that i infact did have extenuating circums, he said for me to email him blah blah blah and my app, ication would be re-submitted and looked over by a committee that would meet in jan.
