<p>hi. i just receivedd word that the person I was going to ask for a recommendation is leaving in two weeks. how do i ask him for a recommendation for next year? how will that work? i'm fairly certain that i may not see him for a while...how do i approach him?</p>
<p>Unless he is leaving because he is about to die or something, I don't see any problem in asking just as you would any other teacher</p>
<p>I don't see the big deal either. Unless he's leaving for a big personal issue, there's not problem. Just tell him to e-mail it to you, or if you want to waive your right to the letter, ask him to e-mail to your guidance counselor.</p>
