Help... rescind?

Hello College Confidential Members.

I need some help. I was recently admitted to some exciting colleges, which I have been extremely happy about. Unfortunately, I have been having some personal conflict with my english teacher. I got a good grade 3rd quarter (a 'B', which is what I have gotten in English throughout high school), but now they are making me switch into a different, lower leveled english class.

They told me that they are not going to go out of their way to tell colleges or get me into more trouble, but I am still very, extremely worried.

What, if anything, should I tell the colleges I have been admitted to?

I am not in trouble with my other classes/teachers and I have continued to do interesting extracurricular activities.

How much trouble am I in? I don't want this to ruin the rest of my life, which is what feels like might happen.

Thank you.

Hi, xeqxeqxeqxeq,

Are you on good terms with your high school counselor? Or a faculty member in the school who knows you well and understands what you’ve gone through? Perhaps s/he can write a letter explaining the circumstances on your behalf.

Oh, and who’s “they”?

“They” is the english department head. I am on good terms with my counselor, but I don’t want this whole story to come to light. Is that what might have to happen?

I expect that your guidance counselor is fully aware of what is going on. It would be pretty hard to keep something like a move from one English class to another this late in the year a secret from your counselor. Go have a chat with that person about what this means for your college admissions.

I told my G.C. about it. I am not trying to hide anything. I will try to talk soon.

Do I need to be worried?
