On Yale’s website, they say that they don’t use score choice but they do use it for SAT subject tests. I wanted to submit my ACT and SAT subject tests and not my SAT, which I though was allowed but the college board website doesn’t let because they claim that the school requires me to send all scores.
Am I missing something here? I’m confused.
Incorrect. The College Board site lets you send whatever you want to send. You can always exercise score choice. It gives those warnings just to let you know the college may require you to send all scores, but you do not have to heed the warning to be able to sends scores. Yale used to require all SAT subject test scores and all SATs if you sent any of either. The CB site is still showing warnings based on that prior rule. Now Yale requires either all SAT or all ACTs, but not both, and you can send whatever subjet tests you want to send. Thus, It now allows you to send just ACT and the particular subject tests you feel like sending.
@drusba that’s what I thought but when I click to finalize my selections the College Board website didn’t let. It’s alright though, I already submitted everything. Thanks for your help!
@greenteen17 , the AO will do something very similar to score choice, informally. They understand that anyone can have a bad Saturday morning, or simply do better on ACT than SAT, and will read your scores in a reasonable way, as long as some of them are good
