@MrAccountant A lot would depend on my plans after school. You’re going back to India? You want a name that’s more recognized there. Hoping to stay in the US and specifically West Coast? Go to SDSU. (But remember getting a job in the US post graduation could be extremely difficulty due to visas.) If you want the degree that’s more recognized around the US, go to Kelley (and make sure you get in). If you plan to go to grad school and would like to enjoy your undergrad, pick California weather at SDSU.
@insanedreamer my plans go something like this :-
- 4 years in US - accountancy major
- Come back to KUWAIT {where I live} .
- Work for a year.
- Apply to grad school
- Pursue CPA license .
- Work in US .
ah man…confused af. Oh lord…help me
anyone else can help me out too ? Please
You can’t just decide to work in the US. There’s a particular type of visa you have to apply for and I think they’re difficult to get. You can work here for a limited time after graduation, but then you’re expected to return home.
@austinmshauri I know the procedure . What do u think bout the schools though ?
More suggestions are welcomed.
Hey Guys…
after all the research I have a list of business schools to choose from .
The list was cut down from 8 to 3.
For first ,
I am an international undergrad from INDIA and looking for a school with the best collegiate experience ,i.e, academics , party , job placement ,etc.
The schools are : -
- PENN STATE ALTOONA (2 years in Altoona then 2 years in University Park)
- Indiana University Purdue University Indianapolis {IUPUI} (Indirect to Kelly School of Business with $7000 off every year)
- San Diego State University ( I like the party scene here and after college placement is decent)
The above colleges have many things in common which makes me THINK …
So guys…Please help this child to choose which school is the best for ACCOUNTING as thats my major .
Thanks - in - Advance
P.S - Cost doesn’t play an important factor in my case…so don’t quote bout them.
Kelley Indianapolis for undergrad and get connected with Midwest (Indianapolis, Cincinnati, Louisville, etc). firms. If you are not satisfied (which you will be) go to Bloomington for your MBA.
Kelley Indianapolis is blocks away from Pacers, Colts, Museums and the good old Slippery Noodle (great place to party and listen to music). One of the best affordable and fun urban (relatively safe) locations in the world.
Thanks for the info @Goodkidsdad . Awaiting more help
@MrAccountant considering your goals I’d go to Kelley.
