<p>Hello,
I am an international student and I got admitted to UC Berkeley Fall 2014.
I was very happy that I could enroll my dream college, but now I'm panic.
I'm working on completing my checklists and I just read my conditions of admissions.
Now I'm worried about my gpa.
Our high school's gpa system includes + and -, and I ended up getting a C on computer science,
and my overall unweighted gpa is 3.34.
Does UC Berkely's gpa system only include A, B, C etc without any plus or minus?
As far as I know, our high school's gpa system says that B starts from 3.4.
Would my gpa be okay in the perspective of UC gpa system?
I'm so scared, somebody please tell me I'm okay and calm me down!! </p>
<p>oh, the conditions of admissions state as following:</p>
<p>Complete all final-year courses listed on your application (including any external examinations) with an overall unweighted B average for each term and no grade lower than a C. Immediately notify us, in writing: if you did not meet the grade point average condition for any term of your senior year; or of any changes to your senior year class schedule.</p>
<p>:((</p>
<p>It looks like you are fine…most colleges start a B at 3.0 and you do not have below a C… Just to make sure, call and clarify, so no surprises. Good luck!
Checking their website (which you should have done
) shows a B is a 3.0 </p>
<p>@Sdgal2 Oh did their website say so?? I just checked out their pdf file on freshman admission and they were saying 3.4 for nonresidents. Maybe I interpreted it wrong or different information… I hope so!!!</p>
<p>@happyhon I just looked at their grading scale…I hope I didn’t mislead you… I didn’t realize there was an out of state difference…that doesn’t seem fair. I really think you will still be ok but why not call to put your mind at ease?</p>
<p>I don’t mean to hijack this thread, but similar question: my school uses an IB scale (1-7). What would be a C?</p>
