Help with classes and chances

I applied to UCD as a civil engineer, and part of the requirements is Physics 9A, 9B, and 9C. I couldn’t finish all of them so I talked to my counselor and she said that I could take them at CSUEB, my school is semester and CSUEB is quarter. I took Physics 1001, Physics 1002, and now currently i am taking Physics 1003. In the past, I took a test to get out of the class(credit by examination) and received As. And this is my first year at a community college. All the other pre-requisites are done. My GPA by the end of the Fall semester was 3.79. Did I take the right classes? and what are my chances of getting accepted?

Thank you

Honestly that is one of the things that makes transferring from a CSU to a UC so difficult. It is virtually impossible to align the required classes.

Since you are in NCal - I’d encourage you to make an appointment at UCD with an admissions counselor - bring your transcript and see what they say.

3.79 GPA at the college level is outstanding. Most people have heard back. I sure hope you get in. Did you use TAG?

Use assist.org to see if the courses you took aligns with the required physics courses at UCD.

Like @NCalRent said, make an appointment with the UCD advising department. Bring your syllabi from each physics class along with written confirmation from your community college advisor that the CSUEB physics series is equivalent to your community college’s (assuming your community college has an articulation agreement with UCD).

@NCalRent‌ Thank you. I didn’t use TAG because I didn’t have 30 units back then and I did see a counselor, the classes were equivalent. Sorry, I just wanted to get other people’s opinion.

@sopranokitty‌ I checked on assist.org, I looked up the classes that I need to take at my school, and looked up the equivalent classes at CSUEB, and they are equivalent. Thank you.

@Autumnal‌ I went to see an advisor a couple months ago, and she went on assist.org with me and showed me how to check if those classes are equivalent, and they are. Thank you.
