<p>I'm trying to decide what to do with my SAT subject test scores. So I got a 2140 on the SAT at the start of my junior year and a 35 on the ACT at the end of it. My subject tests, however, were 780 for Math 2 and 740 for US History. I think I am going to re-take the SAT at the start of senior year to see if I can get a really high score to match with ACT and show it wasn't a fluke. Should I re-take my subject tests to see if I can get higher scores on them too? If not, should I even submit them at all? They aren't very good scores for some of the schools I'm applying to (UCLA, USC, Cal, Stanford, etc.), especially when most kids get 800 on math 2. Also, I'm a prospective math/economics major. </p>
<p>You do not need to prove whether or nor your ACT score was a fluke. Submit your ACT. Your SAT 2s are fine as well, considering that none of these schools require SAT 2s (“Strongly encouraged” are the words used). 20 points on the Math 2 won’t make a difference. </p>
<p>I agree with SameerHussain. You should just send the ACT score, since it’s good. Colleges don’t expect you to send both the ACT and SAT. I think your subject tests are fine, but if you really think that you can do better the second time with either, go for it. </p>
