Help with narrowing college choices!!!

I'm a rising senior in a public school in Ohio. I've been looking a lot at schools but I can't really narrow it down. I wanted to see which of my schools have a better science department and which ones don't. I wanted schools that would have a lot of interaction with professors and a school without a cutthroat pre-med atmosphere.

I can't apply to too many schools due to financial reasons. Also because of this, I am looking for a college that would provide subsantial financial aid.

So far, this is my list of colleges...

Carleton
Case Western
Cornell
Grinnell
Haverford
Kenyon
Oberlin
Tufts
University of Pennsylvania
Washington University in St. Louis
Williams

I believe WUSTL has the cutthroat atmosphere you're trying to avoid. One of my classmates who graduated from there described it as "the toughest pre-med in the country." Your mileage may vary, of course.

Ya, my uncle went to WUSTL and it was EXTREMELY difficult. Most of those schools are fairly "cutthroat" though. Maybe tufts or williams would not be quite as bad.
