I recently decided I wanted to attend UC Davis as an undergraduate Political Science Major and I was reading up on their TAG policy. I noticed it say that you need a C or higher in all course courses prior to be eligible for their TAG program. However, I have received 1 D but I did apply for academic renewal. I have a 3.4 GPA and ultimately I know the UCs honor the community college academic renewal policy but my question is would this jeopardize my chances to be eligible for the TAG Program? I have a counselor appointment soon and I will verify that, but I seem to be a little impatient for the answer.
If you successfully re-took the course and applied for academic renewal - you should be OK.
I have not retook the course though. Is it required for me to retake it? Because retaking and academic renewal and retaking a course essentially do the same thing. I am willing to retake the course but if I don’t have to then I probably won’t. Thanks for the reply though, made my day 
UC Davis is my top priority now.
