I'm planning to transfer to Cal Poly for Business Administration. I am currently attending a Community College.

The thing is, since one Math course was closed upon enrollment this Fall, I thought I would not be able to meet the General Education requirements but I just figured out that I can actually apply and probably get it. My GPA is 3.43, have a few C's, some A's but mostly B's.

I need some Math and Speech class to just finish which I can this coming Spring and Summer...

Now, the deadline is November 30 and today is the 27th. Should I try catching up with the application or should I just apply for Fall 2014 (Cal Poly only takes application for Fall)?

My situation is more complex since I moved to the US about 4 years ago and actually have attended some college in the Philippines but they don't really accredit the Universities/Colleges over there so that means I have to start from scratch.

I've looked through the transfer requirements and they seem to want SAT and/or AP, none of which exist in the Philippines nor any equivalent. Also, they require transcripts from ALL colleges/universities attended (though this is requested AFTER admission from what I understand) so I think I may need more time to look through these and talk to a counselor.

I would really want to get into Cal Poly since it's the nearest University that is nearest from where I live (45 minutes drive). As you see, I'm not much of a travel person. My second choice though is San Jose State University.

I am also trying to see the application requirements and deadline for San Jose State University but I could not find it. I hope someone can point me to the right link/direction here.

Also, I would like to know if one can reapply for Cal Poly? Say, if I try to apply before the deadline and not accepted, will I be eligible to apply for Fall 2014 or is it all a one-time application?

I wish they'd open Spring application again.....sigh

Also, I'm on Financial Aid and I believe FAFSA has a limit of 5 years. And currently, I'm on my third year. So if I apply for Fall 2014, I may have one year left to be able to qualify for FAFSA.

Should I decide to apply for Fall 2014, I am planning to take more non-General Ed transferable courses in hopes that this will help shorten the time I have to spend in the University.
