figure I should get this inevitable decision thread going.

It's been a wait; good luck everyone :)

Admitted!!!
Woohooo!!!

Post your decision, and where you live, we want to know the spread of the mail

Wooohooo!

I can't believe you got your letter this quickly! I'm jealous. Well, REALLY jealous, since you got THAT type of letter. Unless you are joking...

Congratulations!!!

what are your stats, emmittisgod?

Wow, if you're not just pulling our collective leg, then congratulations! That's quick. But I have a feeling that you were just joking around (prove me wrong!).

Anyways, everyone from now on (since such a thread is to benefit future applicants) post:

Decision
Region of the country or world
Basic "stats" (scores if you wish to divulge, what you thought of your interview, recs, essays, etc)

congratulations!! Wow, maybe I should check my mail

Here's an e-mail from my interviewer:

"I hear the decision at the time the decision letter is mailed/emailed
out to you. I am instructed not to contact applicants until they
have opened their mail and have found out themselves. It seems cruel,
but there is a certain thrill in opening a letter from a college and
finding out for yourself. You'll see. ;-)"

Would you want to wait or would you like to bug the hell out of your interviewer?

just wait. Trust me, it's worth it. I still tell the story about the day I got my MIT letter. It was the best day of my life. You see it was snowing and.... ;)

1/137, I can't imagine being an interviewer and sending an e-mail like that to someone who was NOT admitted. Best of all posible luck to you! I hope you are indeed admitted! (As I hope for my own son!)

I will take your word for it, alejandria.

I guess I will need a letter to cushion my head on the concrete as I faint.

So that is 2 out of 383; 2-2 -> 100% acceptance rate on this board so far...

i was deferred

Don't worry, nsdlevin, 75% of all acceptances are made in RD.

Thanks. I knew I would be deferred though, so I'm not upset at all. I am upset that I have to fill out applications and write essays, though.

Congrats to all who got in.

Good luck everyone! Hope to see you here next fall! Congrats to all admits! And deferalls, don't worry, I am an admitted EA defferall, so I know what you are going through! (Especially having to write more essays - I hated that. :))
