Great news, garland!

Time for an update: After four months of tiresome commute (punctuated by snowstorms, train delays, subway breakdowns) a ridiculous number of papers written and tests taken, and little sleep, GarlandSon completed 20 credits-- with a GPA over 3.8 for the semester.

And will be graduating this week.

Hard to convey how proud I am.  :)

Fabulous news, garland!

Garland!!!

Wonderful news. So happy for your son and your family. We have been on cc a long time as I remember when our kids started college together. Hey, life does not always happen in a linear path and that the race is not given to the swift, nor the battle to the strong but the one who endures until the end. Your son charted his own path and he endured to the end and will be getting his degree!!! Well done, well done. =D> =D> =D>

Congratulations!

What a winter for this journey! Congrats and so happy for your S and you!

Garland, congratulations to you and your son. You must be so happy and proud. He took a different path which probably gave you some gray hairs, but he got there. All the best.

Congratulations. I could imagine how proud you must be of your son. This speaks well for the school too. Yes, this was probably the worst winter for commuting, and he did it with flying colors.

Wow. this is a huge accomplishment, especially having to go through a winter like this one to do it. Congratulations to your son!!

That’s wonderful! Congratulations to all of you!! We know better than most how happy you are!

So VERY Happy for you and your son!! Such an accomplishment…20 units can be harrowing…and tiring…and yet, HE DID IT!

As moms we so much want them to be happy and successful and sometimes it takes a while to figure out what that is. What joy you must be feeling and he such a sense of accomplishment.

ENJOY, ENJOY, ENJOY!

Sending best wishes your way…

Garland, such a great outcome! I don’t even know you except from lurking on these posts and I am choked up with happiness. Congrats!
