Thank you all! It made me happy to know so many people here would be happy to hear this.

I love hearing good outcomes. Congratulations to you and your son.

Wonderful!!! Blessings abound!

YES!!!

Congratulations to your son ā¦ and to YOU! :)

Many congrats to you and your son. I hope I can post something similar in a couple of years!

Hope so, too. Missypie. I remember reading other turnaround stories wistfully, hoping to someday be able to echo them. And here is someday! Wishing you a someday soon! :)

MAZAL TOV !!!
I am sure it means so much more to your son than it does for a lot of students who march on the straight-and-narrow.

Garland, so nice to hear the happy ending.

Thanks for posting, so many , many of us with kids on the long term track are happy for you and garlandson.

Missy, you will be there one day. Hugs meanwhile.

Congratulations to you both. It seems like a rarity on CC, but there are plenty of people who donāt complete school in 4 years or 8 semesters. Iām trying to adjust my own expectations, sensing burnout coming on.

Awesome news Garland ! My oldest is contemplating going back to school . She also toyed with the idea two yrs ago and decided against it . Her younger sister is trying to urge her to go into the same field she is studying for. I am cautiously optimistic that she might find her niche. Out of all my girls ,she is the smartest , but the only one who hasnāt found her true calling

So happy for you and your family.

Wonderful culmination for your sonās saga.
Happy, happy, joy, joy! >:D<
I do believe that those who leave and later return do it with increased appreciation for the opportunity (and increased maturity, LOL!)

Beautiful day for a graduation :)

I hope you are going to keep visiting the cafe even though you are technically not a college mom anymore. Congrats again.

Heyā¦ doesnāt grad school count? (I figure Iām still a ācollege momā at least until 2016 when my d. gets her masterās. And to Garland: itās perfectly acceptable for our college grad kids to take a gap year or three before they get around to even thinking about grad school.)

Hey, six in the middle of undergrad is perfectly acceptable, too! ;)

And donāt worry, Bunsenāyāall are not getting rid of me that easily. There are vacation threads, retirement threads, health threads, book threadsālots to keep up with!
