<p>Hi I was wondering if anyone could give me any advice pleasee...See Penn State UP was my dream school, but I did not get in, i got referred to do the 2 + 2 plan at one of Penn State's branch campus in Altoona. I heard that Altoona was a decent school, but I also got into High Point down in NC and that's a decent school as well. I'm just pretty much torn about what to do, and was wondering if anyone could give any advice about what they would do. I just want to see from other people's perspective about what they would do. <p>I got into Penn State UP and I’m going to visit there tomorrow and I also got into High Point too. Did you visit High Point and Altoona? I’m sure that they’re two totally different schools. I feel that High Point is really laid back and it looks like a lot of fun. I would go visit the schools but it also depends on what you’re majoring in. Good Luck!</p>
<p>I second yankeesgirl’s recommendation: definitely go visit. They ARE two entirely different schools in just about every way. We are from PA and my DD also got into Penn State. She opted for HPU for a variety of reasons, but was only able to arrive at that decision after gathering information and spending time on campuses. College is a huge investment of time and money, so it’s very important that you do your homework up front. Good luck! ;)</p>
<p>We haven’t been to Penn State - Altoona, but High Point was very impressive. The facilities are amazing and it is definitely a school on the rise.</p>
